How to Get Your Facebook Messenger Link
Your Facebook Messenger link lets buyers and sellers on MLS.PH start a Messenger chat with you in one tap — without sharing your phone number or email. Here are three ways to get yours.
What MLS.PH accepts
You can paste any of these into the Facebook Messenger Link field on your profile:
https://m.me/yourusername— opens Messenger directly (best)https://facebook.com/yourusername— your Facebook profile URLhttps://fb.com/yourusername— short form of the above
Method 1: Use your m.me link (fastest for buyers)
- Open Facebook and go to your own profile (tap your photo in the top-right on web, or your profile tab in the app).
- Find your username. It usually appears under your name (e.g.
@juandelacruz). - Your Messenger link is
https://m.me/followed by that username — e.g.https://m.me/juandelacruz. - Paste it into the Facebook Messenger Link field on your MLS.PH profile.
Don't see a username? Facebook only gives you a username once you've set one. See Method 3 below to create or change yours.
Method 2: Copy your Facebook profile URL
- Open Facebook on a browser and go to your own profile page.
- Copy the full URL from your browser's address bar — e.g.
https://facebook.com/juandelacruz. - On the mobile app, tap the three dots on your profile → Copy Link to Profile.
- Paste it into the Facebook Messenger Link field on MLS.PH.
If your URL looks like
facebook.com/profile.php?id=10000123456789, that's a numeric profile ID. It still works — just paste the full URL. The m.me method (Method 1) is preferred because it opens Messenger directly.Method 3: Set or change your Facebook username
A username gives you a cleaner Messenger link (e.g. m.me/juandelacruz) and is easier to share.
- On Facebook, go to Settings & Privacy → Settings.
- Choose Personal details → Contact info (or Username on older layouts).
- Enter a username. It must be 5+ characters, contain letters and numbers, and be unique on Facebook.
- Save. Your Messenger link is now
https://m.me/yourusername.
Why this helps your listings
Buyers prefer messaging over phone calls. A working Messenger link makes it easy for them to reach you in one tap — without you having to publish your phone number. It's also a signal of legitimacy: a real Facebook profile attached to a real person.
